Leasing Consultant Gina’s Guide to the West Loop & Fulton Market

November 19, 2025

At Reside Living, we believe living in the right neighborhood makes your apartment feel even more like home. Our Leasing Consultant, Gina, not only helps residents find the perfect apartment in Chicago, but she also knows the West Loop and Fulton Market better than anyone. Since she both lives and works in Chicago, we asked Gina to share her top recommendations for everything from coffee shops to date night spots.

Meet Gina

Chances are you’ve met Gina, and if you have, you know exactly why everyone loves her! With four years of experience at Reside, Gina brings an outgoing and friendly energy that makes residents feel right at home. She’s passionate about helping people find their perfect apartment and goes above and beyond to ensure every prospect feels welcome. When she’s not working hard for her residents, you can find her spending time with her adorable dog, Moose. To know Gina is truly to love her!

Coffee & Brunch

  1. Vietfive Coffee: Perfect for an early morning pick-me-up.
  2. Sawada Coffee: A go-to for great coffee. Pro tip: go in the afternoon to avoid the long morning lines.
  3. Chicago Waffles: A sit-down brunch favorite. As Gina says, “Obviously order the waffles.”
  4. West Loop Market: A hidden gem for to-go breakfast sandwiches. They also serve lunch and have a full deli.

Drinks

Pink neon
  1. Third Rail Tavern: Hands down the best sports bar in the West Loop with excellent food, beer, and staff.
  2. Inkwell: A chic spot with a stellar craft cocktail menu and cozy lounge ambiance.
  3. Blind Barber: A barbershop by day, DJ-driven nightlife spot by night. Check their socials for events before you go!

Restaurants

  1. EL Che: Gina’s favorite happy hour in the city! Get there early to grab a bar seat.
  2. Sushi Dokku: Delicious sushi upstairs; then head downstairs to Booze Box for cocktails and music.
  3. Monteverde: An Italian restaurant with a changing menu based on seasonal ingredients. Sit at the bar to watch the pasta being made fresh. As Gina says, “it has a killer wine list as well.”
  4. JP Graziano’s: The go-to lunch spot for hearty Italian subs.

Shopping & Self-Care

  1. The Fig Tree: A perfect stop for gifts, unique finds, and home décor.
  2. Vitahl: A local med spa offering standout services like the HydraFacial.

Sweet Treats

  1. Levain Bakery:  Famous for oversized, gooey cookies.
  2. Cone Ice Cream: A local favorite for satisfying a sweet tooth.

Fun Things To Do

Chicago Bulls basketball jerseys, black and red, featuring the team name, number 23, and Champion logo.
  1. Fridays on Fulton: A summer street fest with food, music, and fun.
  2. Rooftop Cinema at the Emily Hotel: A unique outdoor movie experience under the Chicago skyline.
  3. United Center: Catch the Chicago Bulls or Blackhawks in the winter.
  4. WNDR Museum: An interactive art experience that’s great year-round.
